There are 7 coupe's in the photo.

Count the tires and divide by four to confirm.

    Silver,

You aren't supposed to count them and then multiply by two.

The yellow GT-40 belongs to a friend and that is him setting the chair up.

What a beautiful car and it's in a great setting.

Such a shame that so many of them will be parked in a garage and never be driven.

If I could afford one it would be driven for sure. I would even be tempted to make a cross country trip with it.

Since Ford chose buyers that they thought would drive the cars it's too bad they didn't have a clause in the contract requiring a minimum number of miles each year.

Not sure I would want to go that fast in a Cobra.

It is amazing at times how the set up of a car can just be perfect.

However I still think that at 199 MPH with the aerodynamics of a 60's era Cobra would be a handful.

The guy that worked on my Coupe had it in his shop back in Pennsylvania for a while and Dick's widow decided to sell it so he took it to Wayne Carini and Wayne detailed it and brought it out here to Pebble Beach for that auction and sold it there. I forget what it brought but it was quite a sum. Also I think it was Dan Gurney who was at the car show there and he got in the Cobra and started it up and half of the people there were ganged around it listening. When he got oput he said he had lost enough races to that Cobra that he just had to sit in it and start it.
