Post Office To Slow Mail Raise Prices

If they get any slower around here it would be faster to just walk whatever you are mailing to its destination. I only use the postal service for one thing and if I could figure a way to avoid that I would. Also they just lose to darn much mail.

Our service took a definate dip late last year. Probably recovered a little now. I no longer use USPS for packages however.

    Dan,

I haven't used it for packages for years now. We have a place that is only about a 20 minute drive from here called mail boxes are us which will package, wrap, and ship anything for you and it is actually cheaper to have them do it than to send it by the postal service. They also provide a Notary Service in case you have anything that needs to be notarized.

The USPS is just a bloated corporation that is top heavy with management.

Made a mistake and sent a package to my brother in law in Pensacola. First when I sent it I told the clerk to send it the cheapest way. She then came back and asked if I wanted to ship it priority and I said no. So when I paid I also bought a book of stamps and paid for both with Visa. I asked her what the charge was for sending the package and she said $8.40. Next day when I checked my Visa account there was an additional charge for $9.71 so went back to the post office and asked them what that charge was for and the manager said that they didn't charge enough to send the package an had to charge $9.71 more. On top of that the package got sent to Pensacola and then on the Tampa and it took them several days to get it back to Pensacola and delivered. Was suppose to be delivered whin 5 days but took over two weeks in the end.
