Not that fast by today's standards but these cars were fast in their day and I like them a lot more than the generic all the same cars they race today.

Fun cars to watch race. Unlike the Pro classes of today.
And why is it that the only pop up ads I get is for software to prevent pop up ads.

Really brings back memories, you could stand right next to the track in Famosa and nobody cared.

Well Bruce, one of the things about being an old fart is we lived in those days and can remember them fondly.

I believe we old farts are the lucky ones, we lived in wonderful times and got to see so many important events like Sputnik and the moon landing. Cars are better now but way less challenging to extract maximum performance and certainly safer. Driving a 60's or early 70's car at the limit was a very scary experience because of the potential consequences. I am very happy that I lived in those times rather than what my son and grandchildren are facing today.

Bruce,
I couldn't agree more and am very happy that I lived in the times when dinosaurs roamed around and then through the great times of performance cars. Truth be told, it is a miracle that I survived my youth as we did about everything possible that would cause heart attacks today. Jumping bicycles off over the edge of a canyon to see how far we could go before landing, racing on the dirt back roads of the Ozarks in old cars that were sure not set up for anything but driving, playing with every kind of firework they made and getting my butt busted for blowing up stuff on the farm. AH, what found memories.
