Good luck trying to find gas for it.
After Chevron did away with their white pump premium gas I had to put new pistons in mine to lower the CR down to 11 to 1 and even then it was tricky.
After they did away with the white pump gas I had the compression lowered to 10.5 to 1 and the gas kept getting worse so I run 110 leaded racing gas in it now.

You can do that Ron, but you can never travel more than 1/2 a tank away from home.
My '70 1/2 Z-28 had factory 11:1's. I had to retard the timing and run an Edelbrock water injection system to keep it happy when I was driving it daily.
This auction should be fun to watch...it's NO RESERVE (and 14 day duration, which is twice the normal for a BAT auction). And the seller either has some serious huevos or figured that the word would get out to all the serious buyers. In fact, I'm pretty certain an owner of any car of this magnitude already got the word out months ago.

Here's a great story on the 1 of 2 ZL-1's. It's located about 45 minute drive from my place. Roger's Corvettes (Maitland, FL - where I was raised) is like an East Coast Mike's Corvettes (Anaheim, CA)...all super low mileage originals and you don't dare dicker on the ask.

Not sure either at no reserve, but BAT has come along way as a viable auction site in the last few years. It sure is a lot less expensive from both the seller and buyer's side.
