I got my first Vaccine yesterday. Other than the third ear growing on the back of my head there's no other malady.
Darn Undy, I don't know of anyone around here who has had a chance to get a shot of that Vaccine yet. So far none of us have been able to even find out when or if it will be available before late this year.

Luckily our conservative Florida governor has made seniors 65+ job number one as far as vaccinations. He decided not to follow CDC's recommendation, lucky for us. Tomorrow I'm going to try and register for my second and final dose of the Moderna Vaccine.
Well Newsom has gone just the opposite and stated that he felt that seniors shouldn't get the vaccine until after everyone else as they don't have long to live and aren't contributing to society in this republic. Of course he and Aunt Pelosi had their shots long ago.

They are offering it here to those 65 and older. So I continue to patiently wait my turn.

San Antonio had 9K doses available for registration to get the shot last Sat. They were taken, according to the news, in 6 minutes which means they registered 1500 people per minute while the phone lines were tied up and the website would not load most of the time and when it did the vaccine was gone. At best you can fill out the form in 1 minute so how did they process 1500 per minute. BS.
If you are a certain age (65 or older) in our county (Volusia) then you can. The county just announced they are available for this Thursday at the County Fair Grounds. First come, first served. Seems like every county is different. I also heard a neighboring county (Seminole) was just doling them out to whomever showed up. So it's sort of a crap shoot here.Originally Posted by Ron77

Well the big story on the local news tonight was that NY residents are booking flights to FL just to get a vaccine! Apparently our wonderful state health regulators did not place any language in their docs that stated FL residents get priority over out-of-staters.
Can you F'n believe this? You can't make this shit up.

I have heard the just lowered the age to 65 nationwide to get the vaccine.

I haven't heard of any people coming from out of state to get then shots here but then no one wants to come here for any reason. And the Illegals come first anyway so they couldn't get one.

Yes. I saw this yesterday. It is suppose to get more folks vaccinated quicker, but if there isn't enough vaccine available just opening it up to more people isn't going to speed it up. It will just slow it down. In SA we have gotten approximately only 28K doses for the 1B category and they don't know when any more will be available. Of course this is typical govt. thinking. Sort of like having a funnel with a 1 inch outlet and then say if I pour more fluid in it I'll get more out.
