Nomad and Silver, get your money ready for later when the two cars that I want come up on the block. I promise to give each of you a ride in both of them.

do you think they love you that much ?
i'm not so sure.
You better send them bourbon and bananas right now.... can help.
Not sure about Nomad, but I love you Ron.
In a non-gay way that is.
Not on TV?
All I found on NBCSHD is a repeat of the Houston auction.
Guys, the real cars are more on next week's docket. I would expect some programming maybe tomorrow or Saturday, as those line-ups typically include enough nice cars to build a television program around.
I'm still planning to attend next Wednesday (or Thursday)...haven't decided yet.

For the next week all I could find was repeats of Houston and Dallas auction. And of course the f*cking Premier League Soccer like anyone gives a rusty f*ck about that shit.
It is not broadcast until Friday the 15th (I think)
The one line never heard in Heaven "Gee! I wish I had spent a little more time in the office."
Well a Superformance Cobra sold at the beginning of the show and those ass hats said that since it had a LS and an automatic that probably drove the price higher.
Ron, I saw a lot of decent cars that had a big “NR” label (No Reserve) on the windshields. Apparently many sellers are eager to let them go.

Dean,
Today they should be getting into the better cars and I am anxious to see just how the prices hold up. I think there may be a lot of people selling the lower quality cars just for money to get by on but the top cars are owned by wealthy people who don't have to worry about where their next meal will come from. I never saw you on TV yesterday so jump up and down if you get in front of a TV camera or better yet buy one of the cars for me.

Or you could put on a gorilla suit. I'm sure that would get you on TV.
I just reviewed the Wed and Thur catalog to see what prices were achieved. Overall I would say that PREMIUMS were paid for many of these. Clearly the Powell/FED induced "cash costs you nothing" bubble has certainly kept valuations elevated. Here are just a few of the really nice cars that I saw and what they got (including buyer's premium):
Lot T90 - 1969 Camaro RS/SS 396/375hp L-78 convertible, Cortez Silver w/black top and 4 spd. A no sale at $90K. Super sharp car.
Lot T131 - 1970 1/2 Camaro Z-28, 4 spd. Well done restoration, but I never saw it getting $66K (well done restoration but not dead nuts concourse level). Not a record but close.
Lot T175 - 1970 1/2 Camaro SS 396 (375hp L-78) 4 spd w/build sheet; one of 600 produced. $90.2K! Might be a record...it was an exquisite example.
I encourage others to log into Mecum with your user ID and see what many of these cars received. Dana should be smiling (again).

Maybe the one bargain was a 1970 Boss 429 Mustang CLONE that hammered at $72.6K. That's about 1/3 the cost of a real one. All the looks and fun at a discount.
And Barry should note that an '82 Porsche 928 w/4.5L and 5-speed hammered at only $14.3K. He could rake here on purchase but would get raped on transport and the silly high Belgium VAT.

Maybe I was already drunk, but I thought the Boss 429 clone only had a 351 in it. It was a cosmetic clone only.
