Maybe the one bargain was a 1970 Boss 429 Mustang CLONE that hammered at $72.6K. That's about 1/3 the cost of a real one. All the looks and fun at a discount.

And Barry should note that an '82 Porsche 928 w/4.5L and 5-speed hammered at only $14.3K. He could rake here on purchase but would get raped on transport and the silly high Belgium VAT.

Dean , a 4.5l is not a "Euro" 928... US model with "only" 240hp. Was the Euro type for 78 and 79 build years .
Mine , also a '82 , is a 310hp 4.7l euro model.

And of course the recent done maintenance counts.. done or not , they all need(ed) it. That can be $10k......

So I recorded today's auction and it appeared to me that the 69 Camaro with the ZL-1 only reached $70K. Is that right? Was it a clone and not an original? Or am I so drunk I missed the actual final bid?

Cloning a Boss 429 would be a hell of a project I should think. At $72.6K I think he would be underwater.

There were two ZL-1s that I saw. One was the real deal and the other was a clone.

I just rifled through the entire Friday catalog and looked at what cars got based on the ones that I saw. All I can say is that values are up again and there was a lot of stupid money chasing crazy prices on cars that arguably shouldn’t hammer that high. SMH
