    They are too short also.

    As will I.

I fear though that it wasn't produced for the enjoyment of car guys.

Probably for a wider viewer base,

such as for the knuckle draggers that thought The Flintstones was a documentary.

I'm offended by that "knuckle draggers" comment.

Well since I don't go to movie theaters I finally watched the movie today. HBO had is on and I recorded it and finally got to it.

At first I wasn't to sure I was going to like it. The further I got into it the better it got. And the ending was very good. Such a shame that Miles was cheated out of the win, but that is history.

I was not to sure of Matt playing CS, but he did a good job. And Bale as KM was excellent. And the Ford people were f*cking pricks. I know, imagine that.

Pretty much how I viewed it too. It took some liberties with timelines and a few facts And created some unnecessary drama but the actual Lemans race itself was probably 90% good or better. It did a good job of portraying Ken Miles as the compelling figure he was.

The only problem I had with the movie was they made Beebe out to be a villain the movie had to have one. In reality Beebe was a pretty stand up guy and did some very interesting things over his working career.

Yes, in some of the reading I did after the movie came out I found that he was overly villainized in the movie. In reality he had little to do on staging the 3 across finish - Shelby was fine with it which he much later regretted. I believe the friction between him and Shelby was pretty much Hollywood script fiction drama. That was one of the facts they took liberties with.

I realize this was long ago but I don't remember race cars having gas gauges.

Great movie. I saw it the day it was released (last fall) and rented it on Prime ($4, a few weeks ago).
